There’s a massive saving on Amazon’s excellent kids tablet right now

The £85 goes a long way because the box already holds everything needed: the tablet, the Kid-Proof Case, a USB-C cable and a 9W power adaptor all arrive together, ready to hand over on the first day.

What waits on that first day is a year of Amazon Kids+, packed with thousands of advert-free books, games, videos and apps from brands such as Disney, Blippi’s Treehouse and LEGO Games. That library gives the tablet staying power long after the novelty fades.

Everything in that library looks its best on the 10.1-inch 1080p Full HD display, while 3GB of RAM and a 25% performance boost over the previous generation keep apps and episodes running seamlessly from one to the next.

Little fingers get plenty of help too, because pre-set filters for 3 to 7-year-olds adjust as your child grows, and larger, image-based buttons keep the interface simple, so the Fire HD 10 Kids stays useful for years to come.

What they watch stays in your hands too, because screen-time limits, bedtimes, website blocking, device pausing and app purchase approvals can all be managed from your phone through the Parent Dashboard, even from a distance.

Battery life keeps up with them too, with up to 13 hours letting the Fire HD 10 Kids handle long journeys, while 32GB of storage and a microSD slot supporting up to 1TB leave room for a growing collection of films, games and books.

The Kid-Proof Case with its built-in stand protects against everyday drops and bumps wherever the tablet ends up. Should anything still break, the 2-year worry-free guarantee means Amazon replaces the Fire HD 10 Kids tablet for free.

For parents of 3- to 7-year-olds, this £85 saving turns a tablet with its own case, a year of Amazon Kids+ and a 2-year guarantee into an easy family purchase, so the Fire HD 10 Kids is worth grabbing while the deal runs.
